2007 La Fe Ministries
How Much?
About $1000 per person.
The expenses break down something like this:

* Approximately $650 - plane ticket
* $300 - La Fe Ministry expenses * $50 - spending money

The Plane Ticket

The cost of your plane ticket will vary. However, I spoke with three different people who recently flew to Mexico and they all spent approximately $650 each. Their flights all originated from Virginia, so if you are closer, it may cost less. All groups fly into Chihuahua City, Chihuahua.

***As a general rule of thumb, if you are less than 1,000 miles from Presidio, TX, you may want to drive down.

Ministry Expenses

La Fe Ministries will cover all expenses from the time of your arrival in Chihuahua City, Chihuahua, Mexico, or Presidio, TX, until your departure from Chihuahua City or Presidio. This includes, but may not be limited to: transportation expenses (including fuel, tolls, maintenance on vehicles, insurance, etc.), meals, ministry outreach expenses, staff salaries and insurance, etc. The $300 is required to help offset the costs of your week in Mexico and also pays for a project during your visit.

Spending Money

Obviously, you may want to bring more or less spending money. Your spending money will be used to purchase snacks and soft drinks between meals and souvenirs to take home with you. Snacks and soft drinks cost about the same as in the U.S. and as far as souvenirs go, the following may give you an idea of how much you may need to bring. A t-shirt costs $10. A Mexican blanket costs $25. A sombrero costs $15. Cowboy boots cost $80. A cowboy hat costs $40. This is an estimate of approximately what you might spend on these items.
